"Okay, but consider something for a moment: In Percy Jackson's Greek heroes, Eros/Cupid is described as taking on the appearance of viewers ideal man. The Cupid scene from House of Hades is told from Jason's perspective, making Cupid look like your general, run-of-the-mill handsome dude (plus the creepy eyes.) But imagine it from Nico's perspective. Imagine Nico hearing Cupid's words in Percy's voice. Imagine that cruel sneer on Percy's lips, those red eyes on his face. Imagine the despair, the fear, the self hatred Nico felt in that moment seeing everything he wanted and everything he hated all at once" Nico can't stand the pain, the fear, the nightmares. He does the only thing he thinks he can do. Cutter!Nico. Oneshot. Trigger warning! Post Blood of Olympus.

Saving a Hero
((((COMPLETED)))) Percy Jackson is depressed and has succumbed to self destructive ways to release his frustration. Nobody notices a thing until Nico gets wind of his former crush drifting farther and farther away. Percy suddenly has new feelings for someone new, and he gets rejected by someone, but not who he thinks. He gets a quest and has to pick one other person from camp to go with him to rescue a friend. Percy gets cursed along the way and has to make it back to Camp to save a life. This story is about Percy self harming, and Nico helping him, there are mentions of dizziness, the feeling of starving, graphic self harm/injuries, blood, graphic thoughts of a person with depression, and probably something like psychological horror. If any of that makes you uncomfortable, don't read!!! I don't think I'm going to get any backlash for anything but if you comment, I'm probably not going to answer you! To the people who leave nice comments, I do read all of them and it is appreciated! this is my first published work, I just wanted to add something to this cool community and maybe live a little vicariously through the characters. Everything about Jason Grace was just so fucking perfect. His golden hair that never seemed to be out of place, his flawless healthily-tanned skin, his electric blue eyes, his muscular body, his life at Roman and Greek camps as a son of Jupiter. Even the scar on his lip was perfect. While Nico Di Angelo was just...not. His black hair was in desperate need of a cut, and his skin was still pale from the damn jar that he had been imprisoned in. His physique was scrawny from self-deprivation of food and the only article of clothing he wore that wasn't black was his brown aviator jacket. As a son of Hades, he wasn't exactly welcomed at either the Greek or Roman camp. With his stygian iron sword and skull ring, he radiated fear and his dark brown eyes - which were probably his only defining feature - were encircled by even darker bags from lack of sleep due to nightmares about...Tartarus.
