"Did I ever tell you?" Lydia placed her arms behind her back as she and Harry walked through the corridors. "Tell me what exactly?" Harry showed curiosity. Lydia stopped in her tracks and got out a piece of paper from her pants pocket. She unfolded it and it showed a picture of Harry from their third year in Hogwarts.
"Well- umm... I got this- I mean it's just a picture of you from the paper. But it's interesting because your eyes in the newsprint..." She struggled to maintain eye-contact. She looked back down at the paper before heaving a sigh and finally staring back at Harry.
"See..." she continued, "in reality they have this effect in them, Harry. It's like fire in water, in dark water. I've only...." She paused.
"Only what?" Harry asks. He was getting more intrigued in what she had to say. They were only a few feet apart.
"I've only ever... i've only ever seen that in..." Lydia struggled to let out the word. "You're eyes are like..." she looked down.
"Salamanders?" Harry questioned.
Lydia quickly looked back up surprised. As she did, Harry took a step closer, he placed a hand on her cheek. His thumb grazed her skin as he looked at her. Harry inched closer to her face. Lydia couldn't help but freeze as she looked into Harry's eyes. she could feel her heart thump loudly and quicker. Harry's lips grazed against her own but stopped.
"Can I kiss you?" He whispered.
"Yes..."
