This is a reboot of the award winning movie Moonlight by Barry Jenkins A young man struggles to find himself. This particular book focuses on the second section of the movie, in other words the teenage part of his life. He lives in a place where anything out of the norm of masculinity is not accepted, and you have to be "hard" in order to be accepted. This book answers the question of, what if the second section took a different turn? Would it have ended up being the perfect love story?
