The city provides the perfect cesspool of the guilty and the innocent, combined together in a way which makes them virtually indistinguishable. And hidden in the mix there is a criminal, or at least there is a crime. Assigned to such a conundrum is the new Detective John Watson, where it is his job to discover if the disappearances of men from about the city are acts of passion, acts of violence, or merely acts of defeat.
