My name is Cae and me and my sister Sabrina are part of the making of the new world. We,and the islanders of Handias, have been told we are the last of human kind. However in this new society women have no rights. The leaders of our island were left a book of rules instructing us on how to survive and thrive and they are always telling us that they want the best for all of human kind. I wish I still believed it,if I ever did, but I know now that it is just yet another layer to the lies they tell us slowly trapping us because here lies work better than bars. I shouldn't even be writing this. I could be killed for writing this, but I have to find a way to get it out before I do something stupid. Before they find out about the secret my sister and I have that could destroy the whole system. This is a story entirely from my own imagination. Please comment and vote it's really encouraging. ❤

SAMENESS

/// SAMENESS, WHAT WE STRIVED FOR SO LONG TO ACHIEVE. BUT WHAT IF YOU'RE DESTINED TO BE DIFFERENT? \\\ Nine months of Hibernation, three months of being awake--that's how the year goes for us. Half of us wake up tired and sore while all of us wake up smelling of either lotion or bleach. But during the nine month period of hibernation, I woke up. And now I know why I always wake up sore and reeking of bleach. ⥀ Humans have always strived for equality, for everyone to be treated equal. We finally reached the point of this harmony, this level of sameness--and everyone is happy. Many, many generations later. But what happens when, in a wold of people knocked down and stood up to be exactly alike, a person wants to be different? What if they're destined to be unique in a world of strict equality? ⥀ #10 in Scifi on 7/21/17 MADE IT TO ROUND 3 IN THE WRITERS OLYMPICS Now available as a paperback and ebook.
