Earth is paradise! In 3458, this hi-tech, super (only) country on the planet has tall cities, a single race, everyone's good looking, and there's only happiness. No one is sad, fearful, or show any emotion but happiness. 

Eve is fifteen in the continent of Northern America. She and her friends are cool and popular, her boyfriend is a hunk, and her life is perfect; she wants it to stay that way. 

Or at least, that was what she thought. 

Then Eve meets Thea. Thea is friendly and funny! But she is secretive and seems a bit... well, different. Eve soon learns Thea is a collector, someone who comes from a secret island called Pacifica. When Eve learns a secret about her society she must learn to live life not like a mind-controled robot, but like a human.
