To know that everyone has that one person they are destined to be with no matter what, to me, is heartbreaking. How do people have the time, the energy, the willpower to have their hearts broken over and over until they find the one? Everyone knows about the Red String, everyone knows that whoever has their pinky tied around the end of your String is your one and only. Everyone always assumes that we all have a soulmate. But, I don't. How do I know? Because, even if no one can see the String but still believe, I can see it. That is why I believe.

But, unlike everyone else, my String is severed. I have no one and only.
