"Are you an angel?" Virgo asked cautiously.

The white headed girl looked back at Virgo and her brother. "Angels don't exist. The sooner you accept that, the easier it gets."

"Then who are you?" Virgo asked, following her some more.

The white headed girl had a twinge if sympathy in her eyes. "Names have power, kid. It's best you don't know mine."

"Then what are you?" Virgo demanded, sick of this girls games. Her brother held onto her arm.

"Most kids know us now as the monster under the bed. The demon willing to drag you to the pits of hell," the girl explained. "But there are no such things as demons and angels. Life isn't that black and white."

-------------

There is a town where children are snatched from their beds in the night. There is a town where mothers fear their children are next to go. There is a town where windows and doors remained lock in fear of what may come through them in the dead of night, when nobody is a awake, when nobody will hear a scream.

There is a place where monsters and saviors of fairy tales lurk. Where they live and thrive. Where there are lonely sirens, angry fae, and annoying pixies. Such place does exist, I promise, but only if you know where to look.

Two children kidnapped in the dead of night. A rein of evil over the land. Twelve people who cannot stop arguing in the midst of it all. Folklore Forest is about to be overrun by a whole new crazy.

Five Star Reviews for Atlantis Academy: "Omg this book was amazing I couldn't put it down or stop reading. I carried it with me open on my phone while I did everything just to keep reading. I need more of all of this. Epic story, epic content, epic visuals, just epic. LOVE THIS!" "Once I got into this story, I did not stop reading it. This is a beautiful story about a very awkward girl who is riven with so much pain and angst and yet... this makes her who she is and shapes her into the person she will become. The world she finds herself awakened to is magical and yet filled with the all-too-familiar cliques and tribes of the very human people who inhabit it. One word to describe the story: beautiful!" "The story pulls you headlong to the end and leaves you wanting to shout "No! Not yet!" ...If there were 6 stars, I would have given it that." *** Humanity is one secret society away from extinction. The children of Atlantis use magic to keep us safe. If they make it through the Academy. Hi, I'm Lyric. And I'm kind of a mess. ADHD, that's me. I'm a high school drop-out, late everywhere I go, and one screw-up away from being homeless. I'm a loner, and I like it that way. Who needs friends when you have a Redwood forest nearby? Trees never bully me like the kids did at school. Or get drunk and throw things at my head. After my mom died, I figured life couldn't get much worse. I thought it might even get better. Ha. The universe has a great sense of humor. I should've listened to the rumors about evil spirits. About the angry, ancient magical creatures haunting our small Oregon Coast town. But did I? No. That was my first mistake. And it might be my last. 'Cause now I'm in a battle for my life. A whole new world has opened up... a magical world I don't understand. And the blood in my veins says I belong here. But I have to prove myself to save myself. And when have I ever done that?

"I thought I might pass out again, the only thing that kept me awake was the fact that the Sign on my wrist sizzled like oil on a frying pan. At first I thought it was just the aftermath of the intravenous drip but when I looked at it I nearly screamed. The skin around the Ophiuchus symbol, was peeling off, I didn't touch it. My wrist was red and throbbing. I don't think it was bleeding but then I saw drops of blood and quickly pulled down my sleeve, covering my hand. I never saw much of my second Sign since Granny always made me cover it up but I'm pretty sure it's not supposed to peel off of my hand." Belle's story continues as she trains at the rebel hideout, Crimsyn State. She learns to cope with her Constellations and deal with the astrological hardships of Ophiuchus. Along with a few heirs of the Twelve Major, Belle attempts to bring her friends to the rebel hideout and tries to complete the group of twelve descendants to fight against the Hydras. During her time at Crimsyn State, Belle discovers the secrets her mother left for her. She realizes there is more to the Stars and Constellations than her imagination could conceive. Includes the poem, Stars Can't Shine Without Darkness by Inaya Sohail. The cuts and bruises were too much to bear. The world around me was spinning, And the streaks of dirt in my hair. And the light never dimming. The light so bright, It felt like there were gazillion fires. I thought I might go blind For I wasn't lying- I wasn't a liar. Published-29/09/19 Completed-26/01/20

[completed - under editing] [last chapter edited - 8 | setting a trap for yourself] "You're told all your life that you're broken, insane, mentally ill. And then you're told that you are going to repair the world." ᯽᯽᯽᯽᯽᯽᯽᯽᯽᯽᯽᯽᯽᯽᯽᯽᯽᯽᯽᯽ Thirteen teenagers. Seven worlds. And a lot of idiocy. The Nebulans -- often called the Zodiacs for their uncanny resemblance -- are supposed to be mythical protectors of the seven Worlds, which includes their home world, Galaxus. The previous generation of Nebulans were tyrants, possessed by the evil creators of the seven Worlds, the Corrupted. The next generation of Nebulans are the world's hope. But the next generation of Nebulans? They're thirteen teenagers with mental issues, removed from their traumatic pasts and homes. They've been broken so many times. But these Worlds need to be repaired. Something is stirring in the shadows. Something dark. The Corrupted are back. And they're after the new generation of Nebulans, too. If they can't convince the Nebulans to join them ... They'll just kill them. And it's a race against time for the Corrupted and the confused, far too young, untrusting Nebulans. And they're not wrong. Here, no one can be trusted, for everyone tells lies. Some, though, tell greater lies than others ...
