"What do you mean, the leaves aren't even changing colors yet? How can they start to fall when it's not the right season to?" Facing him, I tried to reassure his strange and troubled thoughts. Lori Helms, a transfer student at Black Hound High School, approaches a strange boy near the school's oak trees. She asks him for directions to her supposedly street where she is currently living. During the walk home, she unexpectedly finds out that they both relate deeply, which results into a friendly relationship. Will it only end there?
