I was nearing the forbidden corner of the market by the mosque. The reason why people call it the forbidden corner is because male or female if you walk this way to the mosque you will be catcalled. I totally forgot about the path and was nearing it when a group of college girls approached me. I sighed and firmly gripped the top of my nose in annoyance. I then smiled, " Asslamu Aliekum (peace be upon you) do you guys need help with ahything?" A girl with a pink hijab said, " Yes brother we do need help and it's trying to figure out what your phone number is, do you mind helping us with that?" I stepped back in shock I would've never excepted such a proposal so close to the mosque and by hijabis at that! I kept my cool because judging is not my job and slowly but politely said no and walked faster towards the mosque. I saw a cute Muslim couple coming into the mosque and I let my thoughts drift. What would it be like to find such a realshionship here in a non Muslim country mashallah. Ha, just kidding who in the right mind would want to have a relationship with me.

Her heart was beating so fast and her stomach ached so bad. She knew this was it, this was her fate being sealed. " Zhulfah Bint Ilyas? " It would be weird to ask the Imam a question like " Hey look. There was a really nice old friend of my dad's pestering me to be his third wife and I didn't want to go to Ogbomosho and his proposal came along and everything kinda rushed from there, so does that mean I was in my sane mind when I said...yes?" Surely some level of insanity meant she wasn't sure, right? Must the question be a yes or no answer? Can't it just be a maybe? Something along the lines of ' maybe I'll marry him 'cuz my heart is kinda telling me to but my brain's answer isn't forthcoming?' Wait...does that even make any sense? " Zhulfah Bint Ilyas? " She hadn't had breakfast but she felt like she downed a whole packet of laxatives with the way her stomach danced weirdly. " Zhulfah... " " Yes! Yes! Yes! I do! I do!" She said a bit too loudly into the mic, and was instantly filled with regret. She heard her best friend chuckle lightly behind her and she wanted nothing more than to give her a good beating. She glanced over at her husband to be in a few minutes, and her face heated up when she caught him smiling amusingly. " I mean", She cleared her throat. " I do...accept him as...as..my husband." " Well, I think I'll have to speed up the event and legalize these two", The Imam joked and the whole congregation burst into laughter. Zhulfah's face warmed up several degrees, and she was so sure her face would be burnt before the end of that day with the way she was blushing to a severe degree. The Imam was still laughing, and she knew it won't look like a joke much longer if she had a scissors to his beard.

Now I have to deal with you throwing all your hard work for a girl! A girl Ahmed! A girl!" He emphasizes 'girl' with annoyance and disappointment. I clench my jaw getting heated. "Dad she is NOT some girl okay! I love her and she loves me! She is more than just some girl!" I soften my tone, "dad I love her okay and I'm not leaving NYU because of her. I'm not even thinking about NYU for her. And for our future together." I try to reason with my dad who is shaking his head in disbelief. "Ahmed I know you care about her okay. There's nothing wrong with falling in love-- unless she's taking you away from your life plan!" My dad explains visibly frustrated. "Dad, it was never my life plan to begin with. It was yours!" I run a hand through my hair. ************************************************************************************************ ALSO, THIS STORY IS A TAD RELIGIOUS BUT IT IS FICTIONAL

'When I first saw you I said Mashallah and then I said Inshallah' ...... From innocently stalking to fumbling through conversations, she's a walking disaster of charm and sincerity, even if it doesn't always come out right. He's the type to hold his patience like a shield, but even the most patient man can't avoid the chaos that follows this cute, no-sense girl wherever she goes "I am so close to smacking your head with this pen now. Don't get on my nerves anymore and tell me what I said the next step would be!" The patient man, who can no longer be called patient, glares at the poor girl who is pressing her lips tightly together, trying not to let out a sniff, while holding the hem of her shawl so tightly that it will definitely leave wrinkles. "You said..." she starts quietly but ends up bursting when she cannot remember exactly what he taught her. "That you wouldn't be rude! But you're so rude! I don't want to learn from you!" she tried. But couldn't hold back from snapping at his rudeness. Sniffing, she glares at him as he looks at her, clearly annoyed. "You're impossible," he mutters, shaking his head. Yet somehow, there's a smile hiding behind that stern look because nobody can ignore her cuteness. "Jerk," she mumbles to herself before quickly glancing up with wide, innocent eyes, hoping he didn't hear. It's a love story that's as sweet as it is ridiculous, filled with more laughter than either of them ever expected.

They say some hearts recognize each other before eyes ever meet. Before I knew your name, my soul had already whispered it in sujood. Before I saw your face, my heart had painted it in every quiet moment of longing. And when fate finally let our paths cross, it felt less like meeting you... and more like remembering you. Alayna Shaikh Warm-hearted and quietly steadfast, Alayna carries a sincerity that lingers long after her smile fades. Raised in a small Pakistani village steeped in tradition, her childhood was wrapped in familiarity and faith. But at ten, everything changed when her family moved to Qatar, a world of opportunity that came with its own quiet ache. When the noise of adjustment grew heavy, Alayna found solace in faith. She pursued Islamic Studies in South Africa, spending eight years away from home years that shaped her into a woman of depth, grace, and unshakable belief. Now back in Qatar, she finds her thoughts drawn to someone she has never truly known a presence that lingers in her heart like a prayer unanswered. Aamir Al Qasim Born into privilege and legacy, Aamir's life was carved by expectation. With piercing hazel eyes that hold both warmth and restraint, and a calm strength that speaks louder than words, he embodies the balance between confidence and humility. Despite the ease of wealth, he guards himself against pride, anchoring his soul in the remembrance of Allah. But when a fleeting encounter with a modest young woman stirs something within him something he cannot name nor dismiss, Aamir finds himself haunted by her absence. He searches for her everywhere, yet destiny seems to keep her just beyond reach. When two souls are written for each other, time bends, hearts ache, and prayers begin to take shape. Will fate finally weave Alayna and Aamir's paths together or will the unseen tests of life pull them apart before they ever truly meet?

"So, what do you want me to do about it?" he asks, like he's done nothing wrong. "You're supposed to say sorry," I say in a duh tone. "And why should I?" "Because that's what people with manners do." "I know that, but you don't deserve a sorry from me." "Wow. And why is that?" "Because black bitches like you don't deserve it," he says with a sneer. "I have told you times without number to stop calling me that," I say, angry at his insults. "Make me," Ethan says, taking a dangerous step closer. I don't say anything but hiss and walk past him.
