January 1991

In an alternate England, where World War II raged 1939 until 1945, the year 1991 marks a turning point. London is in chaos, ravaged by a vengeful war that spares no one-innocent families, friends, and strangers alike. The government has fallen, and the streets are ruled by fear and uncertainty.

Tony Blair and Margret Thatcher's defeat and Gabriel Channing's rise to power signal the start of a new era. The Queen has been murdered by a shadowy coalition of former Londoners and politicians, plunging the nation into darkness. Whispers of conspiracy and betrayal echo through the alleys, as the once-great city crumbles.

As rumours spread and civil war looms, a group of underground rebels emerges, determined to spread the truth and fight for a better future. Among them are unlikely heroes with hidden pasts and secret agendas. They must navigate a web of deceit and danger, where every ally could be a traitor and every step could be their last.

Who will rise to defend the nation? Who will uncover the secrets that could save them all? And who will survive the shadows of a city on the brink of collapse?

(Non of this book is true. Nothing happened like this in real life, don't worry) XD

His new pet leaks into every area of his life, changing things in ways he could never have imagined. Parbeings are the new and improved apex predators of Earth. Created from gene editing, they are the perfect humans, so perfect that they are no longer even considered human. *** Content Warning: The protagonist of this story is a victim of abuse. I do not condone the actions of the antagonist *** Chapter 1 extract: "Hey Alex. Get over here. I've got something for you," he calls into his collar radio. I reach the end of the alley and turn to face my foe once again, but he remains where he is, still blocking my path but not approaching either. New plan: when he gets close, duck under his arms and make a run for it. Now I just have to wait. Before a minute has even passed, another armoured soldier appears and joins the first. This just keeps getting worse. How am I supposed to dodge past two of them? "What do you want now?" the new soldier grumbles. This one must be Alex. "Look at this cute little human I found. She's feisty. I think she's perfect for you." I glare at them. "I don't want a pet human. That's your disgusting fetish, and I'll have no part in it." "Oh come on Captain," the first soldier whines, "You don't have to fuck her, just train her to be obedient. Surely you can control one measly wild human? You are a captain after all. When you're done, you can just get rid of her, like I do with my humans." What the fuck? For a brief moment my fear is replaced by anger. Who do they think they are, talking about me like I'm some kind of wild animal? "Get the fuck away from me! You freaks!" I screech. The first soldier just flashes an evil grin. They don't budge. "Are you just going to let her talk to you like that?" he goads Alex. (Complete. 70k words.)

The secret seemed to be etched across my face, the words "traitor" branded on my forehead. I wondered how everyone would feel if they knew what I'd just done, if they knew the treason and danger I'd just committed myself too. If they knew that the helpless girl in the pink dress was something more than a background character. ... It's 1776, and the Revolutionary War is in full swing. Everyday men fight and die for their country on the battlefield, and people grow poorer and poorer everyday as King George continues to tax the colonies. But while civilians drop like flies, nineteen year old Rose and her family are safe in England and as close as ever to King George and his obnoxious daughter Princess Sophia. Rose has a life that one would dream of; endless money and luxury, marriage offerings from every suitor in town, and the privilege of having the royal family in the palm of her hand. Except there's one flaw to Rose's perfect life: she hates it. While everyone else is jealous of Rose's wealth and luck, all Rose wants is to return to her hometown Virginia and get away from Princess Sophia and her minions. But then Rose meets Fiona. She's leader of the Shadow Group, a group of overlooked woman who sneak information from the British and send it to the colonies. Desperate to escape her living nightmare, Rose joins and her luck starts to change. Soon she's secretly attending meetings and flirting information out of her chosen suitor to help her hometown; until the ultimate betrayal tears the group apart. Will Rose make it out of Britain and live the life she's always wanted or to persevere her family's reputation? Or will she crumble under the King's careful thumb and break free forever? It's time Britain realized that it's not just the colonies ready for a rebellion. COMPLETED

At first I thought I'd pick something a bit out of my comfort zone (so.... NOT SciFi for once...) to expand my horizon, but when I saw a prompt about time travel I was immediately inspired. Please keep in mind, all of this is WIP! The title, cover, and some of the content might change at any time... I have an outline and I worked hard to come up with a compelling and consistent story line, but due to the nature of the story (timey whimey stuff!) I might have to revise things a few times as I write. I'm grateful for any feedback and I hope you enjoy :)

Have you ever had one of those terrible yet annoyingly pivotal moments? You know, that monumental fragment of time that flips everything you have ever known. That plot twist second that completely takes you by surprise. The one just before the storm hits and everything goes to hell. Yes? Because you see, that moment happens to be my whole damn life. It wasn't always like this though. I used to have a pretty mundane existence, happy to just get good grades and be around my friends. God I wish I could get that simplicity back, I'd never complain it was boring again. But I know I'm not going to ever get back my old life because well... I died. (Kinda) But I woke up. And I was thrilled, beyond grateful I wasn't dead. But then I realized that there was one minor detail that had changed about my reality. I was given the chance to live but it turns out I woke up as the villainess in an otome game my friend used to be obsessed with - Kingdom of freaking Hearts (I added the freaking in there for effect, it's just Kingdom of Hearts) Where, for the record, the villainess only has two possible endings 1) execution and 2) getting exiled. So Fate was like, "Don't worry, I'll save you. Here's a chance to live" and then was like "psyche, screw you. You're still going to die but I'll let you suffer a little first." So now, if only to annoy Fate by proving it wrong, I am determined to survive. I can and I will if I play by these simple rules: 1) Befriend Heroin 2) Avoid Aryn Edwards at All Costs as well as other capture targets And 3) Be the top student at the academy and become an invaluable asset to my Kingdom so I become indispensable, thus unkillable. I'm determined, stubborn, persistent and I will live passed 16. Fate made a big mistake setting me up to die. Since it threw this plot twist at me, I figure I'll return the favor. I'll be the biggest plot twist Fate never saw coming...

Avaley Camber lived this perfect life. Lived. Thing is, when you die, you are not supposed to come back to life. But the Creator has something special in mind for Avaley Camber. Over 2,000 years have passed on since the nuclear war in [Redacted]. Humanity has managed to slowly rebuild by partially repeating history. Kingdoms and Empires have been brought back into society The year is now [NW 40XX] 30 years ago within this time period there was a world war between humanity and an anthropomorphic insectoid species known as the Mōtharians (Mo-thair-re-ans). After excessive losses the Lepidopteran Confederacy declared to surrender to ensure no more lives could be taken between both sides, but humanity had other plans. Within the North Eastern region of Europe an Empire known as The United Imperial Settlements of Europe (U.I.S.E.) had seen there is merit to this victory for the human race. Within the regions of Spain, Italy, Greece, and the Northern African regions a democratic country known as The S.E.N.A. Republic (Southern European and North African) or SENAR for short shares the same hatred for the Mōtharian race but instead of enslavement the majority of the people demand for them to be butchered. Left and Right Mōtharian homes were being pillaged. Men, women, and children were being taken away to unknown territories. Tribes were being torn apart, the future life for the Mōtharian race was to live in endless chaos or slavery... Mōtharians though they look similar to humans are looked down upon. Some are abused, racially stereotyped, attacked in public, or killed without any reason and even if they're population can grow quicker than ours people still take it for granted. Some would think it would be crazy if a human ever loved a Mōtharian after the war... Well that will definitely be the change of a life time, won't it? [I noticed the SCP story is leaning more into action adventure and not a whole lot of lemons, so to those who want a cozy novel with funny shenanigans and *ahem* "adult content" in a harem-- here you go! 😊]
