When Katya returns home from an eerily quiet hunt, she discovers it in flames with the bloodied corpses of her family inside. Now hungrily searching for vengeance, she is approached by one of the Council of Elders, who informs her that she is summoned to a trial before the Council before the summer solstice or else someone else is going to die.
