In the 1960s...

A soldier returning from the Vietnam war takes a job at a local hospital in his hometown. His mind falls into parallel as he begins to struggle returning to his old life after living in a warzone for many years. He begins to lose family and friends due to war propaganda as he also begins to struggle with untreated PTSD. He realizes that he has to start a new life with nothing to love.

A nurse who just moved to a booming city starts to work at a local hospital there. Her mind falls into parallel as she begins to struggle with having a normal life after suffering years of abuse within the foster system. She suffers with having no stable minded family to lean on as she begins to struggle with childhood trauma. She realizes that she has to start a new life with nothing to love.

A veteran and a nurse meet. Two souls who want to love no one but eventually love each other. Two souls who hate each other with a passion but also love each other sweetly. Two lost and lonely souls finding and healing each other.
