The mistake wasn't in playing by the rules. It was in assuming that the game wasn't rigged.

From the chaos of Order 66 to the perilous world of Galactic politics, Dex Janaesson played the game. And for nearly twenty years, it worked. He was alive, and safe, and so was his childhood friend, Jo Silero. The last place the Inquisitorius would look for them was in the halls and social strata of the Imperial Senate.

But even diplomatic immunity didn't run as deep as the Emperor's hatred of the Jedi. And if a lifetime of ghosts and the taint of the Dark Side was what it took to save himself and the woman who deserved everything from him, then Dex would do it a thousand times over.

𝐒𝐮𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫 Imani, a skilled Padawan on the brink of becoming a Jedi at 27, and her close companion, Osha-three years her junior-share a bond forged through years of training and survival. As orphans taken in by the Jedi Order, they grew up side by side, honing their skills and following the path of the light. Yet their shared journey is tinged with a shadow, one that has lingered in Imani's heart since childhood. The two former Padawans are unexpectedly reunited with their old Jedi Master to investigate a string of violent crimes on the edge of the galaxy. But as they delve deeper, they uncover forces darker and more sinister than they ever imagined-forces that resonate eerily with Imani's long-buried fears. Imani's nightmares have haunted her for as long as she can remember, visions of a tragic war that claimed her parents and left her an orphan. These dreams, vivid and unrelenting, are always marked by the presence of a figure cloaked in shadow. A man with a dark helmet, a menacing aura, and a crimson lightsaber that burns into her vision. At first, she dismissed these nightmares as echoes of her trauma. But as her connection to the Force deepened, Imani began to suspect the truth: these were not mere dreams-they were visions. Visions of the future. The mysterious Sith she saw night after night was no specter of the past but a harbinger of the dark destiny awaiting her. Adding to her burden is her twin sister, Mae, who diverged from the path of the Jedi. Where Imani and Osha embraced the light, Mae chose a far darker path, one that threatens to intersect with the very forces Imani fears most. As Imani & Osha's investigation brings them closer to the source of the crimes-and closer to the Sith who has haunted her visions-Imani is forced to confront the possibility that her nightmares are warning of the battles to come. Vella Delaba had been raised as a peacekeeper, a knight. But by necessity, she'd become a warrior and had fought in many wars. She'd been a padawan in the Clone Wars and had joined in the battle against the tyrannical Empire. But no matter how many fights she came back from, she was never prepared for what she'd lose. The Jedi haunted her. The Force haunted her. But no matter how much she ran, it always caught up. The Galactic Republic was long gone, the Jedi were dead, even the Empire had been defeated. She'd lived through all of it, all because she'd ignored and hidden one of the most important things about her. The war was over, the Rebellion had won, the Empire was gone. So why was she still struggling to find where she fit in the mix of it? She was a Jedi. Where did a Jedi fit into a galaxy that hadn't seen one for nearly thirty years? Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy A Fan Novelization by Tirzah1022

Inspired by the beloved 2003 Star Wars video game, comes a fresh take on the story by a fan of all things Star Wars! Mixed with elements from both Legends and Canon, it's the same story of an Academy student facing a galaxy of trouble, but with extra plot, story and character. Here's a summary: Jaden Korr has lived her entire life on Coruscant, the city that covers a planet. Orphaned as a child, she was left in the care of her uncle. For years she knew she was different, she could feel things no one else could. But her gift lays mostly dormant until one morning, she shows her uncle something that should be impossible: she's built a fully functioning lightsaber without any formal Jedi or Force training. Knowing that Jaden deserves more than a small life in the big city, her uncle has her sent to the Jedi Academy to foster her talents. But on her first day at the Academy, Jaden encounters something strange, something dark and sinister. When she's rendered unconscious by this event, she wakes to find she's changed, and maybe not for the better; like something dark has taken root inside her soul. When she starts her training, she finds herself excelling surprisingly fast, much to the chagrin of her new friend and training partner, Rosh Penin, resulting in an unwanted rivalry. With everything she's dreamed of having on the line: A caring mentor, friendships and the freedom to use her powers, Jaden must resist the pull of the dark side and face a deadly Sith Cult head on. Or will her potential fall from the Light cause not only the deaths of those she's come to love and care for, but of those of the entire Academy as well?

***A WATTPAD FEATURED STORY Sept 6th 2016*** "Yoda was not a master of the Light Side-or the Dark. He was between them." Luke Skywalker hears this from a mysterious Jedi prisoner during her interrogation and frees her to investigate what she means. Undercover for her own gain, she killed her Sith master to aid the Rebellion, but was arrested for intentionally killing a boy while she wore a warm sane smile... Luke---tormented with questions---resists the unresolved darkness within him from his father's death, and fights to learn the forgotten secrets of the Force: How did the Force originate and why? What doesn't Yoda trust me to know? Is her forgotten Light Side just as depraved and powerful as the Dark Side? Why was the practice of it forbidden and forgotten? Does her fearless play in battle come from a robust will or is she truly insane? Am I really a Jedi? ======================= Star Wars: The Ancient Force presents as a 280-page novel that aims to elaborate on how the Force works while providing a compelling new arc for Luke after Return of the Jedi. Dark yet fun and PG-13, it aims to keep within the Star Wars style. It uses only canon of films 1-6 to reinterpret and explain the Force, events, and character motivations while it introduces new complex characters, fixes loopholes, and provides depth to canon clichés. It is the first published work of a writer with over 13 years of experience in developing fiction.
