He was the kind of boy who didn't really fit in but didn't mind. He was perfectly content in doing his own thing. He preferred it that way, in fact. He was tall and thin with dyed black, straightened hair and an eyebrow piercing and a tattoo on his shoulder that he still hadn't told his mother about. People called him names and tried to get under his skin but he didn't let them. He was good at blocking them out. They'd even gone as far as telling him to kill himself and even though he had tried more than once, it wasn't because of them. He wasn't bothered by the fact that he didn't fit in with the "popular crowd" because he didn't want to. He wanted to be his own person. And he did it well. She was different. She'd always longed to be accepted. She dreamed of sitting at that table in the cafeteria where the pretty girls gossiped about boys and clothes and celebrities. And her. No one had ever really pushed him around but she got it bad. She got it really bad. They called her emo and told her she was worthless, among other things. She tried to brush it off but it always stung. She hurt herself because of it. The skin on her wrists and thighs and shoulders was all scarred and even though she tried to hide it with bracelets and long sleeves, they still saw it and bullied her worse for it. She wasn't tall. Not as tall as them. She was barely five feet. Her hair was long and straight and black with blue and purple streaks and she always wore black. She wore dark makeup and her grandmother wouldn't let her get her nose pierced but she wanted to. She wanted her lip done too. "No until your eighteenth birthday." Her grandmother's words rang in her ears. She couldn't wait for that freedom.

He sits by me. "You can't just let people hurt you all the time and then go forgive them like it's nothing!" "And why not?" I ask calmly. "B-because-" Carlos stutters. He looks away. "Because then..." "Seb's a good person. The best out of all of us," Big Red comments. I blush. "I don't know. I just always try my best to do the right thing." *"Move, weirdo." She glanced at him and sighed. "Feel free to move if you want to, there's so much room." He raised his eyebrows in surprise. Firstly because she dared stand up to him, nobody did that. Everyone, except his friends and family, feared and respected him. Secondly because this was the school weirdo, who rarely interacted or talked to anyone. "You sure I'm the person you wanna mess with?" She shocked him again by responding. "I got bigger problems that pissing off the school's biggest bully." She spoke calmly. Like, it showed that she was not scared of him. She actually looked... bored. "Yeah, like what?" he asked, willing to know what could possibly be worse than pissing him off, and insulting him on top of that. She looked at him, like really looked into his eyes, and he was taken aback by the pain reflected in her eyes. "Piss off." she said and walked away. You had been attending the same school for over 15 years, obviously because you were born in the small town in North Carolina. You were living a pretty normal life, till all of the abductions started happening in 1977. But lets go back a bit. Lets go back to the year 1976. You had been on a night shift on November 18th, 1976. There were many more people than your previous shift. Really the only people there were dropouts, druggies, drug dealers, freaks, and alcoholics. All around the ages 14-22. Everybody was pretty chill with eachother, except for a few people, but that was just the minority. You had been zoned out while staring at the clock, then suddenly heard a DING! Some kid wanted to buy some cigarettes again. You looked at him and he said "Jesus kid, you in a mental insitute or something? Snap out of it." you ringed him up after he asked you for a pack of camels, and then looked at a familiar guy playing pinball. The same blonde that got over 100,000 his last time he came. Everybody started hyping him up, so he's trying to beat 100,000. You remember the mess you had to clean up after some kid accidently knocked over a bunch of beer. You like to not think about how it ruined your favorite pair of shoes. He messed up again, and kicked the machine. You yelled out to him "That thing costs money you know." then he looked at you. His face almost looked angelic. But he had been the jerk of your highschool, so he couldn't be that angelic. He looked away and picked at his pockets. He pulled out nothing. He started walking up to you and started asking for a dime. "Come on, I feed you guys this money all the damn time. Plus you will just get it back." "Then maybe don't waste all your money on pinball. We've gained around $200 with you coming here almost everyday. Thanks for that." and then you smiled while picking up your book. He looked at you in anger, then you looked back up at him. He looked like he was in a bad mood. "Here's a dime." you said handing him a dime.
