Here's a fun little challenge I was given by a client recently:

- write a short story in five parts.
- three sections of prose under 200 words each in 2nd-person narration style
- two sections of TEXT MESSAGE dialogue, 8 lines or less in each.
- Female protagonist. The antagonist was my call.
- Pick a GENRE from a choice of Romance, Urban Fantasy, Comedy, Horror, and Suspense.

So, it's an exercise in brevity - not exactly my strong suit ;-)

But, in the end, I saddled up and gave 'er a go.

I chose Suspense/Thriller...and called the story HOMECOMING.

Hope you dig it.
