~ This is The Catalyst's sequel, so this summary contains spoilers for that book. ~

It has been one year since the quest for the catalyst.

In Fellera, Jaden and Zemisha are now engaged, but their close friends know this is only a political partnership. As for Noah and Kili, after traveling to another continent, they're building a life for themselves in a desert city.

Meanwhile, Emperor Neros' obsession with Zemisha grows stronger, until he decides to hire elite dark mage mercenaries to kidnap Zemisha and bring her back to Azuria. Forcing Jaden to organize a rescue mission to get his future queen back.

Jaden reassures Noah that he won't be needing his help. But Noah isn't so sure. After all, if there's one thing they've learned, it's that there's always someone scheming behind the scenes. And with dark mages in the picture, you can never be too careful.

The Light of Miera: A Guard's Request (Book 1) by WriterMashashy
19 parts Complete Mature
(Epic Fantasy/LGBT Romance) COMPLETED & PUBLISHING A Guard's Request will be published with Fantastic Books Publishing in October of 2023, but I have decided to leave this early draft up for anyone who can't wait until then. With the creation of the Valnyr Galaxy, the Guardians vowed never to interfere with the affairs of the mortal realm. However, when sinister forces seek to steal the power of the Manastream, Alamantra's Guardian finds that some oaths are easier to keep than others. Life is about to change for the citizens of Freya as a blight sweeps across the land, corrupting the mana held within their bodies. Princess Arafrey finds herself stripped of all she holds dear, alone on the frontlines. However, there is hope as guards Reyla and Tharin take on a quest from the Gods to cure the sickness, leaving Freya to traverse the Ten Kingdoms in search of The Hand of Miera. But will they be able to find it in time? Meanwhile, in the East, The Duran Empire marshals their forces as the Emperor seeks to invade the starved desserts of Sudra. But the Sudra hold a terrible secret and Queen Nymati will not go down without a fight. * * * Imagine if Tim Burton and Joss Whedon got together to make a story to rival Full Metal Alchemist or Fairy Tail: that's my writing style. I hit some pretty deep topics but I try keep it light and entertaining. Trigger Warnings/Mature Content: I will post trigger warnings at the beginning of scenes to warn people, but let's make a list here just to be sure. Sex, survivors guilt, suicide, rape, murder, gay/lesbian sex, masturbation, assault, torture, addiction... There maybe more I missed, let me know if you feel I should add anything else. The Obsidian Empire

18 parts Complete Mature

(Year of the Hollow, Volume 2) (mxm) A dangerous game becomes deadly. No direction, no mountains to hide behind, and nothing but expectations for how Llwell plans to lead the Restoration out of the ashes. With the Hollow and his followers still alive, maybe Tessiavar will finally listen to reason. But with the Obsidian Empire, reason often leads to chaos. There's only so much one elf can do to stop the approaching damage of forces much stronger than he will ever be. So it's a good thing he's not alone. Llwell, Dumaine and Etho survived the fall of Ayiolas. Next step: Negotiating with Tessiavar. But in the Obsidian Empire, there's little to no difference between a dangerous game and a foolish mistake. All they can do is hope to keep this house of cards from tumbling down. (WARNING: Like book one, there are still a bunch of mature themes and body horror. This book also includes slightly spicier scenes but nothing too explicit. So just know what you're getting into.)
