Dragon Kissed {Book One: A Whisper Of Stars}
A maiden must marry into nobility to uphold honour in her family's name. However, when her soon-to-be husband is burned alive by a fiery creature, she realizes there's more to life than just suitors and balls. ～·～·～ As a woman, Alyria Willows is expected to cast aside her pursuit of independence to fulfil her duties as an acquiescent housewife; all for the sake of one's honour not even her own. However, the veil isn't as pellucid as Alyria thinks when a devastating upheaval leaves her grasping for answers. It's only after surviving a terrifying experience that she discovers more than blood flows through her veins. But that'll be the least of her concerns when a creature neither man nor dragon stalks her from the shadows. His gaze pierces like iron. His power radiates like lava. But even a man of his strength cannot hinder the threat that seeks to destroy. A ballet of starlight foretells a restless war. Lies will be unearthed, truths will be muddled, and victories will come at a steep price. But not everything is as it seems. I just wanted to make one of these. For no exact reason... There's no purpose to this... These are going to be my works through out my high school life. Where I live, High school starts when you're in grade 7/Secondary 1/at the age of 12-13. I'm kind of excited to see how much my writing improves over the years... or, hopefully it does... When Loki's consort and soulmate marries his rival to save their son from a curse, a prophecy leads to consequences even the God of Chaos couldn't predict. *** The Unseelie Goddess of War's revenge against Asgard's Dark Prince puts him in a no-win scenario with a choice between losing his soulmate or his son. Bad enough that damn Atlantean prince saved Shannon when Loki couldn't, but now Elatha is saving Loki's son by stealing his mate. Neither outcome will leave Shannon and Loki's relationship unchanged. While some of Shannon's Unseelie relatives have no issue with killing her son, others aren't so blase about the curse. Yet it's the prophecy at Shannon's birth that's brought Elatha and Shannon together in this arranged marriage. When betrayal strikes, it may be the key to saving not just her son, but Loki's soul as well. The prophecy hints at a chance to right a mistake that has haunted him, but it will require more soul-searching than Loki is comfortable with.
