"Hey." a male voice said.
Spencer.
"Hey." I replied. 
"You nervous?" He asked stepping next to me. Spencer must have easily grown three inches since we left the northern air temple. I on the other hand, probably shrunk.
"I'm about to see my spirit guide, my mom, my best friend who hates me, and my ex boyfriend for the first time in--" I hesitated. I knew the number. I knew how long it had been. Then...why couldn't I say it?
Spencer said it for me, "Six months."
I swallowed hard. "Six months. So, I'm mostly nervous."

The Legend Reborn is a story I wrote in late 2014 about the Avatar after Korra. After the release of the Legend of Korra follow up comics I went back and added references to the events of the comics but didn't change my story. Following the 2021 announcement of Avatar Studios I decided to share my ideas since it's very possible Bryke could decide to continue the Avatar Cycle and render my story implausible. I hope they instead decide to go backwards (possibly a Kyoshi series) since there are also many other great fan projects that would be rendered implausible by a Korra sequel (notably The Legend of Genji, a project very different from my own but has my respect and admiration). But who am I to disagree with what Mike and Bryan do with their own fantastic universe.
