Sixteen year-old Rowan's life comes to a screeching halt when she finds out that the Agency that raised her is actually an assassin organization.

She finds herself being separated from the only people she has ever known and put in the hands of the FBI. Upon finding out that Rowan is an orphan, the government finds a different path for her than that of the other children from The Agency. Instead, she is used for her innocent face, and killer instincts. She becomes an unofficial agent of the FBI, placed in undercover missions in order to bring down the highest-ranking criminals in the world.

After a year of this lifestyle, however, the new leader of the FBI decides that the end of her time with them has come. Finding a home for her with an almost-ordinary family, they decide that the time has come for Rowan to live a normal life.

Now at seventeen years old, this early retired FBI agent is introduced to a new world of experiences she has never had before. She becomes determined to live and find out exactly what she's been missing.

A magic-addicted spy trapped in the queen's service must track a princess-turned-assassin in order to earn her freedom, but things get complicated when she falls for the princess she's supposed to capture. ***** Weak. Cursed. That's how seventeen-year-old Kayden Branimir, the realm's deadliest assassin, views herself. Some believe she could save the world with her rare healing magic, but she gave up on her powers long ago after failing to save her best friend. Her life changes when she receives a letter from her supposedly dead twin brother, Alaric, begging to be rescued from rival territory Leodia. For the first time since her friend's accident, Kayden is determined to be the hero, but she must learn to embrace her magic--and herself--along the way. Strange. Unnatural. Those are the words whispered about eighteen-year-old Zara Tait, a Leodian spy addicted to soul-stealing magic. Forced into the queen's service, Zara wants to escape and return home, but she has nothing to offer the queen in exchange for her freedom. When Kayden arrives in Leodia, Zara sees the quiet girl with unique magic as the bargaining chip she needs. But the more she learns of Kayden, the more her feelings grow. Now, Zara must choose between her freedom and the dangerous assassin she hadn't meant to fall for. 14 years with peace and quiet; 14 years with no major disturbances; 14 years of Petra being dead, Pearl grieving and the agents of the Squidbeak Splatoon dealing with minor issues. Not to mention Cora (Agent 3) and Tobias (Agent 8) starting a family, Lance and Marie getting married and so much more. 14 years of peace... Isn't that a little too long for our main characters? I think our main villain would agree with that. So what would happen if a familiar member of the huge, confusing family, reappears but as a villain, 3 people already having known about them being alive? (Theoretically) What would happen when people are kidnapped, experimented on, turned evil against their will and forced to fight their families? What if... They couldn't save those who they dearly loved, and had to watch them die? The agents would say that it's nothing new, but within the chaos of this new villain, they would all realise that this fight would be something new. This adventure was going to be different to anything else they have done in their lifetime. This adventure was going to change all of their lives, PERMANENTLY. And it all starts with Petra, better known as Keigo. ---------------------------- 4th book out of 6.5 in the 38 Saga! #15 in Criminalminds 10th June 2025 #4 in Crime-fiction 15th June 2025 #2 in David Rossi 14th June 2025 This is my first book and there is a lot of errors I do apologise. When former Marine Hope Carey joins the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit, she's not just stepping into the nation's most elite profiling team-she's stepping into a warzone of trauma, violence, and secrets. With a five-year-old Son at home, a haunted past behind her, and a sharp mind honed by battlefield instincts, Hope is ready to take on serial killers. What she's not ready for is Supervisory Special Agent Aaron Hotchner. He's rigid. Controlled. Cold. Everything she isn't. And everything she shouldn't want. As cases grow darker and danger draws closer, the walls between them begin to crack. First respect. Then tension. Then something neither can afford to name. But just as Hope starts to rebuild the life she thought she'd lost-balancing motherhood, fieldwork, and the stirrings of something real-fate rips it all apart. A deployment, a betrayal, a child in danger. And in the middle of it all, the one man who both breaks her heart and steadies her soul. In a world where every second matters and love is the most dangerous risk of all, Codename: Ivy is a gripping FBI romance packed with high-stakes action, smoldering slow-burn, and the unshakable truth that some hearts are meant to survive anything.
