Wrote part of this back in 2013. It is a companion to the canon and completed it Feb 2021 and EDITED better June 2021. Still not fully edited, but I loved reading it again and again. It's ending is supposed to be a cliff hanger to a potential spin off series I have been writing for years which follows the First Triumvirate, BEFORE Caesar becomes Dictator for life. A romance between a gladiator and an emperor's daughter is no match for marriage though, putting them both at risk when Venus pulls them together. Doomed from the start Caius and Aurelia will have to decide just how much they're willing to risk and just which door they're willing to walk through to find what they desire on the other side.
