It's 1920. Kansas City is rocked by the brutal murder of Betty Richards,  a "coloured" eleven-year-old girl, who's been bludgeoned until nearly unrecognizable. The sheriff, is an upstanding and well-respected man who is determined to get to the bottom of what might be the grisliest case of his career.

All evidence points to one suspect. 

Will the sheriff solve this crime before the true evil takes over his town for the worst?

"She's not anywhere." Anna hands disappeared into the coat's pocket. "Danielle." Jolie calls. "Danielle!" She was ascending the stairway to Danielle's room. A stench hit her nose and she felt some kind of nausea. Why the smell. She wonders and opens the door. After taking three steps inside, her eyes was going to something heavy laying on the floor. She recognized the flowery dress. 'Danielle?' She moved closer and her eyes were in shock by what it was seeing. Danielle's butchered body was laying on the floor. Jolie started screaming. She saw the bloodstain on the white beddings and could see the blood that flowed to the tiles which has started drying out. Jolie moved away. The odour was too bad and she couldn't bear to look at Danielle's body.
