A couple weeks back, during a live reading and chat in the Caged Readers Group on Facebook, the members expressed an interest in my returning to the world of Vampires. My recent and future scheduled projects have been predominantly Fantasy based with a few blood suckers sprinkled in. That awesome conversation sparked an idea to both give the readers what they wanted AND allow them to be a part of the story writing process. What does that mean? It means a brand new experience for you all to take part in! Introducing the Caged House Vampires. This is an interactive story writing experience. Each week I will post a new "Episode" and at the end of the Episode there will be an option to VOTE on which way the story goes next. A character will have to make a decision and YOU get to tell me how you want that move to go! The majority wins on this, so make sure you put your vote in. So far we have TWO episodes out! The decisions will get a lot tougher as the story moves forward. After each episode is posted, the voting is open for 72 hours. What's awesome about this is that I have NO IDEA how the story will go! I don't write the next Episode until the votes are in. It is challenging, and (I'll admit it) TERRIFYING! lol But I'm excited about this new project and really hope that you all will join in on the fun!

The Quarter is quiet. Marcellus controls the vampires. The wolves live like outcasts in the Bayou. The Witches have a rocky peace with the vampires. The Mikaelsons raise Hope in their family home. All is peaceful, quiet despite the minor disputes. However the newest Scottish visitors have a long history that they plan on bringing to town. --- "They don't like the idea of new vampires in New Orleans." He reports shamefully, holding his head downwards. The butler seemed as though fearing for his life. I hold the lavender ball gown up to my chest, looking at myself in the floor length mirror. "On the contrary, dear Joseph," I pause, listening as my sweet Scottish accented voice floats around the room in tranquility. I turn to him, my ice eyes resting on him. "We are very, very old vampires." I drop the dress, and the butler looks up in fear. My movements are as fast as a striking snake, tearing out his throat in such a swift movement there's barely any mess. I look into his eyes as he raises his hands to his neck, falling to the ground in a light thump. I walk back and pick up the lavender dress, admiring my smiling reflection in the mirror as the tragically human butler bleeds out onto the expensive Russian rug. --- Some plot lines and moments of the Originals has been altered for this story. Camille is human (alive). Marcel is not a super vamp. However, Hope is seven years old. I only own the events and Characters I design, the rest all belong to the CW and the wonderful writers. Edit:: The Title has been changed from Casket Crowns to Her Majesty The reasoning is that the characters designed in this story are being used in a series of novels that will NOT be fan fictions. If you're interested in Merida and her brothers furthermore, stay tuned for the actual Fiction/Fantasy book I'll publish on my profile. August 10, 2020 UPDATE: This story is old, I started it several years ago and therefore has many flaws. Read at your own risk.
