Somehow she grasps the attention of Beau Bokan and is taken under his wing when Ashley, Andrew and her family abandon her. As she starts to get back on her feet again, she is thrown down by consistent harassment from her mother and ex-boyfriend, an unexpected pregnancy and the discovery of her younger sister's abusive home life.
