The remaining counterparts of  wolves must stay alive, only with hope from  knowledge of an old prophecy, which couldn't be proved to even exist.  The prophecy states that once the balance has crumbled, two improbable friends shall rise and defeat the injustice and bring their planet back to safety, but if they can't?
