She woke up, but she wasn't in her home. She had aged, the years had passed. Nothing was what she remembered. There was a tattoo on her wrist she didn't remember getting, her hair had grown and the room wasn't her own. Her head hurt, her eyes didn't adjust to the light, every moment dreadful for someone who wanted to go back to sleep.
Nothing was right and yet as she looked up she noticed her face in every picture. The walls filled with moments and people she didn't remember and yet she was smiling in every single picture.
She remembered running, hiding. She remembered a life that now seemed so far away. 
Only one question remained, however, as the door creaked open: what have I done?
