A girl named April has lived in westBrooke all her life, having people missing is a norm for her seeing as they want to find the mystery behind the road everyone is forbidden to cross. One day, as she is walking home from work she hears foot steps but when she turns around no one is there. Getting slightly spooked April decides to stay calm and walk faster until she's running and someone is running along with her.. what will happen? What will she discover? Will she see something she shouldn't or see someone she shouldn't?

"Would you like to dance?" the boy asks me. I stare deep into his blue eyes, but I can't figure out who he is. He's tall with dark hair and the brightest blue eyes I've ever seen. I know everyone at this school, but with his features hidden behind his mask I can't tell who he is. "Sure, I would love to." Did I just say that? I agreed to dance with a random boy who I don't know. He takes my hand and leads me to the dance floor. We dance for a few songs and then he asks me, "Would you like to take a walk? I know the perfect place." I nod and he pulls me behind him off the dance floor. We leave the hotel and start walking down a little path. At the end of the path I notice a little fountain surrounded by candles. I wonder if he set this up. We walk over to the fountain and we sit down on the edge. "I had a wonderful time tonight," says the guy. He reaches to his face and removes his mask. I recognize him immediately. Evie was the wild child of the bunch. She was always everywhere and doing everything, all so she could pour it into her writing. Being a writer was the dream she held since she was a child, but to be the best, she needed to make a name for herself. However the local scholarships were not enough to cover the costs of attending her dream school. Evie was determined to find a way to pay for her education, but she was running out of options. That was, until West came back. West was a childhood friend. They used to play together when they were kids, but as they grew older, they drifted apart and lost touch. It's been a couple of years since they had last seen each other, and when West randomly needed to stay at Evie's house for a few weeks, she wasn't sure what to expect. They each needed a plan to get what they wanted, and they each had what the other needed. It seemed like a win-win situation for both of them.
