Emily Parker has been abused by her rich father, Jonathan Parker, since the age of 12. Ever since her mum died from Rectum Cancer, the loving father that she thought she had, disappeared and in his place, was a cruel, merciless man. 

After moving to a new school in Chicago, she's bullied and unwanted. She doesn't have any friends or companions. She's a nerd that likes to keep her head down and study. The sooner she gets that done, the sooner she can escape.

She hides her embarrassing secret of what happens at home quite well. What she didn't know was that the Richards' brothers could see beneath her thick mask. They could see that her smile didn't quite reach her eyes, she was suffering from something and they made it their mission to find out what. 

What they DIDN'T KNOW was that Emily has a hard time trusting people and she is one tough cookie! Her story won't be revealed THAT easily. Oh no no no. Read on to find out the trouble she puts the Richards' through...

I also just love books where not everything is sped through and you really get to know the characters and their habits.
