Two countries have been at war. Each a different species battling for dominance over the wrecked shell of what was once called Earth. They conquered every opposer who stood in their way to victory, except each other. Evenly matched, Vampyres and Lycans go head to head for total domination of Planet Earth.

--------------------------------------------

The humans died out long ago to a wide spread virus that took many lives at once before continuing through newborns and elder hosts. The supernatural sat back and watched as they quickly became the supreme race. Eventually, all of them being the supreme race wasn't enough, they wanted to be the only race left. The other supernaturals were fine except the Lycans were power hungry creatures, always wanting to be master rulers and have total obedience. Vampyres hated that the humans died and couldn't survive without blood, the only inhabitants left to feed on were witches, but they were killed out by the Lycans except for a select few. There was no reversal technology for Vampyrism, and no one had advanced enough to see if they could live without blood.

Well, that was before the Lycans had found their solution.

The world had gone to hell long ago, taken over by the vampire race. In order to keep some sort of peace in our land, the Vampire Lords made a consecutive agreement. The rich and powerful humans could survive just as they had been, untouched by the vampires save for the occasional blood collections, or so they thought In reality, we were all under their control. Castles spread out throughout our land, one landing in each city. Each castle varied in the number of vampires residing there, but all of them carried a Lord. The Lords were the ones in charge in every city, whether we liked it or not. The vampires often roam through the city, making sure that everyone was in order and no one stepped out of line. If you stepped out of line, you died, end of story. Even if the rich were still under their control, their lives were still better than the poor. The poorest lives held a much worse fate. The men were to be put to work as slaves, whether that meant serving a specific vampire, or just building their castles, they were slaves. The women were to be pets. Pets were the lowest rank you could have. They were forced into cages that were too small to stand in with collars around their necks. They spent their lives in pet shops, just waiting for the dreadful day that they'll be bought. They were treated like animals, trained into what their master wanted, and punished if they misbehaved. Those who were lucky enough to live through that, we're to be slaughtered for their blood at age twenty-five in an act to make sure that our population would stay steady. I was born into this world. Born into this world full of blood-sucking monsters. Except, I was one of the lucky ones. Was. It all ended for me when I was 12, when I was taken away from the last bit of hope and family that I had left. Ever since then, I've lived in a cage, just rotting away, waiting, dreading for the day that some monster would make me his. This is my life. I am a pet. ~~~ Cover by: @mshacake

"I know you are there," she said, her heart beating loud in her chest as her eyes searched frantically around. "I can...sense you." She added, hoping that might just scare whoever of whatever that was following her. She sighed, waiting for an answer or a noise, or anything that would just alert her of the ubiquitous presence with her. However, when a long time passed and nothing happened -the trees were still as still as they were and the moonlight shone as brightly- she counted from one to ten and turned to continue on her walk but she stopped frozen when she came face to face with the biggest wolf she had ever seen. Her heart jumped out of her chest when her eyes locked with it's red ones. A late run in the woods one night brought Asher to human teenagers camping in the woods. The fact that they could feel free to party there despite all the stories told about the woods interest him and a flitting thought to see what they were up to brought him face to face to someone he never thought he would meet. She was not pretty and wasn't even the average of his taste in women but there was something about her that seemed to pull him and seemed to calm his raging demon. But apart from that was something else, something that screamed danger and might ruin all his years of effort.
