Escape to or from darkness?

Lucy heads to Tenrou island as Cana's partner to help her complete the trials and become S-class. However along the way she meets Zeref the black wizard known for killing people and creating books of demons. After regaining lost memories Lucy sees something within him that's different from how he's described. As well as she's not the same normal celestial Mage she thought herself to be. Will these new memories lead to a new love? If so will Natsu be able to take it? How will they defend themselves against Ankherseram? And dear Layla how could you?

"Lucy you must reach your full potential now or lose yourself to this demon forever!" I screamed as I witnessed what had become of my beloved master.
"Honey she's not coming back and it's a shame Zeref is no longer evil or him and Lucy would have been so good together for our plan..."

I have different plans in mind for this story than other fanfics.
