There is a force that has the choice and ability to give any superpower it chooses to human beings. It senses that aliens will come in invade earth in exactly two years. It makes the choice to create a number of superpowers and gives them to a random set of people in the United States to prepare for this invasion. About a month after the powers are distributed, it transports them to a remote and unknown island in the pacific. They all have to fight to the death to see who can utilize their power the best. The last three standing in the island get complete knowledge over their power and everything about it, the reason why they have powers, the details of the invasion, and a letter saying that they shall all unite. As soon they all meet, a timer will be set for one month. when the timer is up, the invasion will commence and they will have to fend off the aliens. With the letters to the winners sent, they are transported back home.All Rights Reserved

Twenty years after the end of the Cyborg War, the last cyborgs try to hijack a starship on its way to terraform an alien world. The crew have no choice but to follow them down to the planet where they have to fight not just the cyborgs but also forms of life a billion years more evolved than humans. Creatures that have grown tough and hardy in an attempt to cope with the increasingly harsh conditions that prevail there. As if things weren't bad enough, there is conflict among the ship's crew as they fight to decide which of them will be in charge and how they will meet the challenges facing them, and even if they survive all this they will still have to deal with the discovery of the ultimate fate that awaits all intelligent life in the universe...
