~editing~ 500 years ago, in a war between humans and demons, the demon generals were defeated. In the process, the human race was nearly eradicated. Presently, humans have become superior, dominating over the once powerful demons. Demons have become slaves owned by humans. Not one remembers a time when they were once free. They have been abused by their owners, living in fear. Kira is adopted by human nobles. She owns a slave, Vetirano, but does not abuse him. She treats him as she would a human. However, her parents are different. They see demons as monsters, and constantly beat their slaves for the smallest mistakes. Kira attends a combat school, bringing Vetirano with her. There, she discovers that the blood running in her veins does not only belong to humans, but to other races. She is rejected by the other humans, saved from death by a demon. As Kira wanders with her savior, she meets the demon generals who were involved in the war 500 years ago. A/N: I do not own any of the images. Cover designed by @KittyLilac.

Eliza Lovell has lived a dangerous life, inducted into the hunter organization as a child and hunting vampires since she could walk. Though she wouldn't say she was unhappy. Nothing was more satisfying than sinking her spell-forged blades into the monsters that stalked and terrorized human kind. What she did was a service. It gave her purpose to get up in the morning and sound sleep at night. That was until she met her match with a deceptively alluring vampire named Ezra, and the world around her twists in new and dangerous ways. Vampire corpses begin to surface around town, drained of their blood, and the fingers are pointed at the hunter organization. Eliza had nothing to do with such grotesque displays of depravity, and neither did the hunters, but she doesn't like the sins of others painted on her back. To end the violence and to clear her name, she embarks on a journey to root out the evil poisoning her city. ~~~~~~~~~~~ Alec de Fluer is new to his role as a leader of the Fleurs, but peacekeeping has been in his blood since he was a child. When others fought, he sought to ease their quarrels and help them find peace, as he did now in the tumultuous society that was rebuilding before him. Someone is draining vampires of their blood and hanging them up for display, but there is more to it than just hate. Remnants of Copse magic linger at the dump sites, powerful yet foreign. Though Alec is no longer a Copse, it falls on him to clear his former family's name, alongside his mate Idus and some more unconventional allies.
