Sirens were abound in the deadly waters, and those who heard their call rarely made it out alive with the skin on their backs. When a pirate ship crashed into a jagged rock bay, Murdoc Niccals thought he had met his fate after he was blamed for the wreckage and cast overboard, his body chained to an old anchor. But when a mysterious siren spared his life with a kiss that granted him gills, he knew it was only the beginning of a new life. He could have never predicted to have fallen in love with one of the nasty creatures, but it seems their bond was growing and somehow, the siren himself seemed more.... Human each day.
(AU belongs to Emily.n.lee on Instagram, I'm just obsessed with it all and it's so perfect and Sfkglsl I HAD to write a story out of it because it was eating me alive. I plan to post this story every 2 weeks or bi-monthly, depending on school and stuff but this isn't a promise since I'm not always writing and I was never really much of a writer to begin with.)

Cass has no memories of her parents, only impossible dreams of waves and orcas and, sometimes, her mother's voice. When she and her adopted aunt return to the Pacific Northwest island--where her parents died twelve years before--Cass hopes the place will trigger long-buried memories. Jason became clearer: black hair dark above his yellow raincoat, arms crossed over his chest. "What the hell are you talking about?" "I asked how you like it, going for a swim in this water." She was open-mouthed with disbelief. It was a bad idea; a surge lifted her and slapped salt water into her mouth. Bile burned her throat as she coughed and all the while she was still flailing at the water, fighting the drag of shoes and clothes to keep afloat. She should kick them off-that's what you were supposed to do if you fell into the ocean with your clothes on-but she was only a dozen feet from the dock. Besides, it was her only coat. Jason watched her the way she'd watch a barracuda. "I know you're following me." "Following you?" What. The. Hell. She gave a mighty kick and tossed her coat onto the dock. Jason just stood there. "Sirens: the cruelest creature in the whole ocean. If a heartbreak isn't enough, imagine losing your memory and being stuck in the ocean forever. Not like they intended to do that, it's the only way to have your life back. Anyways, isn't it ironic for a siren to switch lives with a human is through a kiss? A person with a broken heart should be cared for and is not something to play around with. Rules change in the ocean, heartbroken people are what sirens strive for. Most of the time it doesn't matter because at one point, they were heart broken. The gods above must've took a pity on us. Our painful feelings leave us, creating a clueless monster with no pain. The poor siren has no memory of their past life except for a certain hobby. It's not the worst thing; sirens get another try when they find another heartbroken fellow. They looked everywhere and found nothing, until they were in the waters of a small Oceanside town. Scott was a siren who lived with this friends (as his family was dead) in the waters near a small town. Scott often hung with the sailors while he also sold coral and fish in town for food and money. They both lived very different lives. Their futures were all ready set. That was until they met. When Martyn laid his eyes on Scott fate changed. Will they ever be together? Or are their lives too different And set paths too far away? (This might go unfinished up it will be my summer goal to finish it so I hope I do and wether I do or not I hope you enjoy, also trust the process as it starts in 1st person but turns 3rd when it gets more into the story)Complete
