'Ruby says that fate is an excuse for the lazy. She says if you want something, you have to go out and get it while you have the chance. That's easy enough for her to say. She already has everything.'

Violet Axon doesn't get out much; she spends most of her time studying, babysitting her twin sisters Lily and Iris, or listening to the grand escapades of her wild best friend, Ruby. And Ruby is convinced Violet will be happier after their three step plan comes into fruition:
1) Befriend someone other than Ruby
2) Get invited to a party
3) Snag a boyfriend before prom

There's just one problem. Violet's gay. And she's in love with Ruby.
