Mars has reached the mature age of 25, building a name for himself as the FBI's best Hitter, a title given to those who infiltrate gangs and execute the infrastructure from within. His father Draven has raised him well, however with the Android Equity Act making androids equal with people, the FBI has had a new resurgence of an old adversary, the Cartel, having used the Android Revolution and world changing climate as a distraction, seeping its way into the US using androids as their catalysts for drug running, slave rings, and more nefarious acts that they proceed with in the everlasting pursuit of dirty wealth and power. It's up to the FBI in correspondence with the Department of Justice's Task Force deemed Projekt Korrosive to take them down, asking for the aid of the worlds greatest Hitter, Mars, who's simultaneously on a quest for revenge intertwined with the mission to take down the cartel, La Parca, for good this time.

A semi-sequel of my original story, The Negotiator, following Mars, Draven's son. The first story is in no way required to read this one.

The robots rule earth. The girl only known as reject #5642 doesn't own her name, she doesn't own her body and she doesn't see a future on the artificial island she grew up on. After a chance encounter with a new reject-boy and unearthing her true mother's slave collar, she is lead on a path to discover more about herself than she could possibly imagine. When the machines come to her door to harvest her younger sister, #5642 is thrust into a head-on collision with the whole robot world order. Her foster parents give her one desperate secret mission. Protect her sister and get her to #5642's real parents in the machine capital. The future of humanity rests on it. Soon #5642 must run for her life, fight for her existence and to do that she needs to discover her real past. In a desperate hunt across the ruins of America #5642, her sister and a reject-boy called Hunter must out run the Artificial Intelligences and the cyborg's known only as 'The Continuity'. The same ones who master minded the robot apocalypse 20 years ago. To succeed she must discover the meaning of the resistance plan 'Destiny Rising' and the only key she has is her human birth name. Emily, Emily Banks. As she runs the machines begin to realise what she might represent, the last bitter ember of human resistance. Can a girl like her possibly be capable of what it takes to change the world? She has to, because she doesn't know it, but she is the cyborg's daughter. "I was born a slave, but it doesn't mean I have to die like one." said Emily carefully picking up the phase bracelet. A Y/A novel. PG13. Elodie's life changes at the turn of a doorknob when she is forced into joining a secret organization that claims to be protecting the Earth from aliens. But with every step she takes, she finds the organization, or the facility, as they call it, becoming more and more suspicious. When a mysterious death occurs, revealing a well-concealed secret, things quickly go downhill as humanity's future is placed on the shoulders of a single gaggle of teenagers. *** I hear a sigh from the other side of the door, "Miss. Chaucer, you have a wonderful opportunity here, are you going to take it or not?" Now, I am seriously confused, "Opportunity?" She takes advantage of my befuddled state and shoves the door open. Shit. The corners of her mouth pull up, and it's so unnatural, it takes me a moment to realize she's smiling. Major plastic surgery? Probably. Click. Did she just lock the door? She locked the door! I spring towards the house phone, dusty from years of doing absolutely nothing, so I can call the police. I don't make it. Halfway there, I trip on my own pant-leg and face plant on the floor. The woman steps over me and retrieves the phone. She looks at it as if it's a foreign object, "This won't be necessary. All I want to do is talk to you." For some reason, instead of screaming, I stay silent. She smiles and pulls out a chair from the kitchen table for me to sit on. When I don't sit, she says, "If you want to know what's going on, then sit." I think about it for a moment. She hasn't hurt me yet, and I have to admit, I am quite curious as to what's going on. So, call me stupid, but I sit down. "I am from a space organization that protects civilians from . . . outside threats." *** Beautiful cover made by @mahana258!
