Phils hopelessly in love with dan.
Dan and Phil are the best of friends, they do everything together and tell each other everything. So when Dan suddenly becomes distant and cold Phil becomes worried and tries to get to the bottom of Dans problem.
Dans thoughts of worthlessness and his utter hatred towards himself are becoming too much to handle so instead of confiding in phil he reverts to his old ways and isolates himself.
