Emberlynn Kendrick is the outcast- she has been since she was first taken in by the Morgan family. She is expected to be perfect every single day, and it's not hard for her to do. She doesn't seem to mix well with the Menomonee Falls students, so she stays out of the way and doesn't get in trouble. It's as simple as that. But, when she is moved up a grade, she gets mixed in with the popular crowd- more specifically, Mason Covington and his group of friends- and is suddenly changed and, for once, accepted. She even begins to think of Mason as a bit more than a friend. There are a few problems though- Emberlynn's family has a long-lived legacy that she has yet to discover, and Mason has secrets of his own. They can weather through most anything, it seems. When problems threaten their relationship, they always pull through. But, can Emmy pull through the final test alive?
