People who possess magical powers are called "Haze" while those people who are completely 'empty' or does not possess any magical powers are called "Posers". The story revolves around a first year highschool boy named Layato Haruzaki or nicknamed as Light, is a kind and smart boy who doesn't want any attention from other people. The thing is that he is a Poser. He was enrolled by his foster parents in Cloud Academy, a prestigious school for Hazes.
