In the summer of 1952, Damon Bell, one of America's famous singer, goes back home, where he hasn't been in ten years, Jamaica. There he hopes to get over his homesickness and find his lover he left. He doesn't return home alone, he takes his band and agrees to bring Jacob Fischer, an 18 year old soon to be Harvard Student who goes as his before-college-vacation. There Jacob finds the beauty and challenges in Jamaica.
