Southern California is weird - and it gets a lot weirder in the hilariously dystopian comedy, Palm Tree Pipe Dreams

In the near future, L.A.'s traffic reaches a saturation point, resulting in a massive, intractable gridlock. While politicians and special interest groups battle each other over solutions, a new normal takes hold - one that challenges the already-challenged Ira O'Riley, a young, frustrated screenwriter from Detroit. 

The low-level foothold Ira had gained in the entertainment industry slips away. Jobless, homeless and girlfriendless, Ira struggles to adapt and find the success and love he's convinced are his destiny.  His missteps and misadventures inadvertently lead to him becoming a media darling, folk hero and hunted fugitive. 

"Craptastic," as Ira would say.

Writing in the absurdist tradition of Douglas Adams, Kurt Vonnegut and Gary Shteyngart, Paraventi uses the memorable characters and preposterous situations in Palm Tree Pipe Dreams to both skewer and embrace the ambitious, adaptable, self-inventing, delusional, trend-obsessed people who are drawn to L.A. People who reacted to the gas that flooded all of our streets in order to change us, for better or worse? No one knows. The government thinks they do though, they think that we're all menaced to society and that we need to be found, captured, and controlled. They even went as far as forming the Justification to replace our current government. They basically did everything in their power to catch us. Although it didn't work very well. My name is Kyle... and this is my story. "The Hunted One " is part one of the series. Part two is called "Caitlin's Way". And part three, " Destiny " is also completed. I've also finished writing "The Presence." It's a ghost story with my kind of twist and takes place at the same time as my first two stories and If you're a Hunted One reader, you may find the ending interesting... The Paw Patrol and the others were having a nice day at the beach where they see Champ made a sand sculpture of his dad. They were proud of him until a wave came on the beach and washed it out. Champ claimed he seemed a little homesick. The gang brought Champ to the lookout but he ends up crying and runs in the lookout. He then sings a song about how he misses his dad and wished he was still alive. The gang soon saw and heard how Champ misses his dad Bolt and soon calls Wallace and his friends to invent a time machine to go back in time to meet Champ's dad in a studio named Hollywood. The days of canine superstar Bolt are filled with danger and intrigue ... until the cameras stop rolling. But Bolt doesn't know that he's on a TV show; he thinks his amazing powers are real. When Bolt & the gang is accidentally shipped from Bolt's Hollywood soundstage to the mean streets of New York, they begin their most-amazing adventure: Armed only with Bolt's delusions and accompanied by two cats and a hamster, they set out to find his owner, Penny.

Especially Emily's work, the company built by the woman who has moved humanity further in the future. She feels more devoted and passionate about her work. She just can't figure out why... Short Story 3 In a place where the trees block out all sunlight, there is a lonely building. Within this building, you'd find all manner of monsters and beasts. Sometimes, even monsters want to go where every one knows their name. Short Story 4 Lily lived a happy but simple life in her village, despite the war against the magical beasts of world still raging. When the war finally reaches the village, she expected her life to end with her family. She never expected a man to appear and offer her a deal. Tales Of Wonder are short stories that are tied in to a novel I've had in my head for years. They are related to the novel and each other. These stories are mainly to motivate me and to test out different writing styles. Each short story will be written in different styles. They take place in a world where magic and science combine. The first story here, I admit leaves the rules of the world and how everything works a little vague but each short story will add more and eventually the novel will tie up the magic system. Any feedback is welcomed. Of course, let me know if you want more stories.
