Aleria is a Hunter in a world that has already rotted away from a terrible curse. She exists, for the sole purpose of slaying abhorrent monsters that appeared in hordes on a night forever illuminated by an ominous red full moon. This moon, emanating an accursed light known only as 'Blight', infects and kills the planet with every waking moment, spawning beasts at every corner of the globe as it does so. Having hunted these abominations at the behest of her 'leaders' for so long she's lost track of time, Aleria sets out to discover the truth behind the origins of this cursed night as well as the monsters that came with it. What she finds however, is far beyond what she expected. Secrets are sometimes better off left as secrets, for a reason. Author Note: Upon reading this story the narrative will not tell you all of the plot. You must use hints from things like chapter titles, monster & character dialogue, location descriptions & Aleria's cursed ability to scry along with her own investigations to figure out what is going on in its full entirety. The plot will be coherent if you don't want to do this, however it won't be as fufilling.

They said he was quiet. Cold. Unreachable. But I saw what they didn't - the obsession behind his stare. We weren't supposed to meet. We weren't supposed to touch. Now I can't breathe when he's near... and I suffocate when he's gone. Something about him feels ancient. Familiar in a way that makes my bones ache. I think I've known him before. And I think the last time, I didn't survive.
