Riddick has only ever known the life inside of the Foster system. After being bounced from world to world, Foster family to foster family, he decides to run away. He seeks passage on a merchant ship only for the pilot to alter the plan and take the boy to a family he knows.
Riddick is ambivalent in the beginning. Yet, the kindness and acceptance the people of the small colony show him soon wins Riddick over. He, at last, comes to know the sense of peace and belonging he has been seeking.
However, the dream is soon proven too good to be true.

Sweet-like is the origin story for The Lady Fury Chronicles. It is the evolved form of Chronicles of Riddick: Lady Fury, and substantially fills the gaps of the backstory chapters.
