The world loves the concept of superpowers. Almost every little kid, at some point in their lives, has dreamt of what their lives would be like should they one day develop super powers. Many of those little kids often tried their hardest to manifest those powers by yelling at the sky like their cartoon characters often did. Even many adults, though most would deny it tooth and nail, dreamt of superpowers becoming reality. But most people did not think about the other side of things. Sure, the little kids often had pure intentions for their powers. But the adults often were self-centered with their ideals. They thought only about what they could do for themselves with their power, not what their powers could do for the world. Why is that, one might ask. Simply put: Human nature. So you can only imagine what happened when, inexplicably, super powers became a reality.
It wasn't at all like some fairy tale. Not even a little bit. At first the reports were dismissed as utterly delirious ramblings of people who mistook someone doing a fantastic feat as something else entirely. But that quickly ended when even news reporters began to frantically dole out information on the abrupt rise of those with powers. For one glorious afternoon the world eagerly awaited for these heroes to address them, certain that they were now revealing themselves because they wanted to help steer humanity in the right direction. But this will not be a happy story.

In an alternate timeline, the human race found a way to create superpowers. By extracting energy from stars and inserting that energy into humans, 'powers' were created. Powers allowed humans to gain unnatural abilities such as flight, invisibility, super strength or in other words, superpowers. Of course, with the introduction of something so revolutionary, people rose up in the hundreds of thousands in an event known as the Great Rebellion. The insurgents banded together under a single banner and became collectively known as the Shadow, marking the beginning of the Cosmic Wars. Out of the darkness, the Gazers were born. Using what remained of the power technology, the Gazers singlehandedly perished the evil and ended the conflict. However, there was a price to pay. Powers put a toll on the human body and had serious mental and physical repercussions. The solution was to recruit children from the age of 13 to 18 and train them so their bodies would adapt to their powers, eventually becoming immune to all negative side effects. The end of the Cosmic Wars brought forth a new age of peace and prosperity that the world had never seen before. However, the long reign of the Gazers has already begun to crumble, cracks showing up within the very thread of society. Their rule will not last for much longer. The Shadow will rise once again. Or in other words, my unintentional and accidental ripoff of My Hero Academia :/ Blurb is a work in progress

What happened if our world had people with superpowers? It's no longer the comics you read...It's reality. You know you aren't normal when you find out you can move things with your mind, make people believe and see the impossible- or anything that makes you different and not fit in with anyone. Some people may think having powers are for the better good. While others just use it as a destruction of the world or an advantage to have things that others can't have without having to go through trouble, meanwhile those who are curious have better plans. A strange and devious company is out to stop people with these abilities with the help of someone who is mad with power, while two strange men who use an abandoned church as a base try and find others like them to stop this company from destroying them. Follow these people with extraordinary abilities that you may learn to love in the end or just want to throw them off the face of the earth- and one in particular who is dying to be special...
