(ON PAUSE) This may take me a while to write. I'll try to get this book done as soon as I get the time. (A/N I'M KEEPING JOHNNY AND DALLY ALIVE!! The guys are at least a few years older bc I can't have the characters be super young. Also I'm making it 60's theme as the book should be, but w/ a slightly modern twist) Victoria "Tori" Evans is not your average girl living in 1960's Tulsa. She's smart, pretty, sweet, funny, tough, quick, strong, and she's deaf in one ear. But that DEFINITELY doesn't stop her from living her life. She understands what people say, but chooses to use ASL. One day she meets the gang through 2 mutual friends and the oldest brother of the Curtis family. This is her story.

Beck Addams is the school's smartest kid. He aces everything ranging from pop quizzes to exams, and everyone wants him to tutor them. Deaf since childhood, he never let it stop him; he does everything he can to be able to communicate with people. Everyone loves him and he has a very happy life. Riley King is the school's "emo" kid. He wears all black, sits in the back of the class, and gets straight C's. Like typical emo kids, he never talks to anyone. One good reason for that is because he is mute. Even if he weren't, people would be too scared to talk to him; no one wants to go near him. He likes it that way though. He dislikes people. The only thing these two boys have in common is that they can use and understand ASL, though Riley rarely uses it, and they are both LGBT. Beck is gay and Riley is genderqueer and demiromantic asexual. With how different they are, how could they ever interact with one another? Well, one day they get partnered for a project at school. Will they be able to work together? Will Beck get Riley to communicate with him at all? Or will Riley just push Beck away like he does everyone else? Read to find out. ~~~ *I wrote this when I was like... 14 lol. It has been edited for grammar, but any cringe, plot holes, or "cliff hangers" have not been fixed. There are too many issues so I will not be editing the story at all to fix them. Please keep that in mind when you read, and I hope you enjoy the story anyway! Maybe you can just read for fun and giggle at the weird parts. **Also: Sorry for the fancy gender/sexuality terms. Again... I was 14. I suggest you google them if you don't know what they are because I don't think I ever explained them in the story and Google will probably give you a better explanation than I can lol.
