Kristina Jean Blossom is only fifteen years old when her and her mother moved to a small town called Summit. Being from the country-side and being home-schooled, this was going to be a huge change. Especially since she's starting at the public high school, River Peak High School. 

During this time is when she starts to notice abilities she didn't even realize she had and a mysterious boy who sat by himself in the lunch room staring at her out of the corner of his eye. Why does she have these abilities and why does this boy seem so interested in her? Kristina wonders why as well, so no doubt this year is going to be an adventure for her.
