This was a poem I wrote in school for the book speak, but it goes beyond telling just one story. This tells the story of my best friend I nearly lost about 3 years ago, I wasn't there for him when he needed me most but I can say I was there when it almost meant The End. I have a message for those who want to rest and quit the fight. "IF YOUR GOING THROUGH HELL KEEP GOING" ~unknown " STAND TALL AND KEEP YOUR HEAD HELD HIGH." ~M. H. The last part of the poem where it gives thanks to the people listed was written by friend he wants to keep his name unknown and hope that those of you who read it will understand. Thank you.

Sometimes you have to get lost in order to be found... I'm needy. I'm broken. Cutting breaks through my numbness, but only opens more wounds. Depression, bullying, self-harm...that's my reality. Sex and guys...my escape. The space between the truth and lies is blurred leaving me torn, lost and confused. And while the monsters that live in my head try to beat me--the two men that I love try to save me. This is my story of friendship, heartache and the grueling journey that is mental-illness.
