It started out with the flu. A fever, chills, and muscle aches. You'd be bedridden, fed soup by your mother and your friends would bring you the school work that you'd missed. You would take some medicine; Antibiotics, cold medicine. Then you would be healthy enough after a few days to go back to school. All better.
Except with this, you didn't get better. You only got worse. Your body only got cold and there weren't enough blankets in the world to make you warm again. You would get hot. The fever would burn you out. Worse than any cold imaginable. The sweat would drench your clothes and would just be disgusting.
There was no treatment either. No medicine or spell would cure this disease. Family could only make you comfortable.
Then you die. Cold, dead, and flatlined. The doctor would say you died and cover your head with the blanket and prepare you for the morgue.
But within those hours, while they all prepare for your departure you are waking up. Death would reverse. The motor cells in the brain would kick in again and you'd wake up. You'd wake up hungry and attack whatever is in front of you. Dead or alive.

Death is only the Beginning (EDITING)
The Wildfire Virus. That's the illness the eggheads have called dubbed that has spread alarmingly fast all over the world. No could figure out at first how and where it came from or how even spread so quickly. I was on leave, visiting brother in Boston when the infection hit. Yesterday, the world was normal with its own conflicts. The next, millions get sick, hospitals are overwhelmed, and any sort of space was converted into a makeshift hospital to handle all the sick. On day 2 the sick died and awoke attacking the living. I tried to get out of the city, but the military closed off every major access point and now I'm trapped within, along with millions of undead. Conquer the Wasteland
*Prologue* To be entirely honest with you, I never really considered my future. It's not like I needed to...right? Why would you care about jobs and your educational success when you could be scavenging for food, perhaps? I mean what use is your academic future in the apocalypse? Dramatic right? As I sit here, writing this down, I feel a little pathetic. Although the chance that someone would read my story is incredibly low, I can't help but feel a small glimmer of hope that someone will find it. It would become an instant best-seller! Who wouldn't read the first-hand account of a zombie apocalypse survivor? Even if that day were to arrive, I can guarantee that I won't be alive to see it. The world is a complete and total mess and we are the only ones to blame. Why do you ask? Well, why don't we take a trip down memory lane?
