when a young Cherokee girl is swooped into a fairy tale nightmare, she meets a boy, "Tory", stumbling along all of life's adversities. After she was cast out back into her world of allusions, she finds a loophole and is conflicted by choices... Should she meet Tory, a quiet and frightful star child with his blood red eyes in order to save the earth of the inevitable evil? Or should she live for herself, love herself, all for herself as a cause of the betrayals faced in her life?

Tori is already cracked and broken after barely managing to escape her abusive fiancé. She's trying to heal both physically and mentally. She doesn't want to disappoint her new Academy friends by being weak or needy. She's trying so hard but the pressure keeps building and building. Between dealing with her mother, keeping up in college, and wanting desperately to be useful to the only real friends she's ever had, Tori is bent over backwards and barely managing to stay on her feet. How far can she bend before everything snaps and the truth comes out that she's just too broken to be fixed?
