The kingdom of Terriea is split into five with the King and the nobles residing within the center of the country. Each Provence holds an academy used to train its students in both the art of knowledge but also to fight and defeat any enemy of Terriea that occurs. These students are the top of the food chain, with students from all different species; wizards, werewolfs, vampires, and the rarest and most powerful the dragon riders.

Every dragon rider in history has been male and awoken at the ripe age of eight to ten years old. But all statistics are made to be proven wrong.

Charlie is seventeen and she still doesn't know where she fits into life. In her small town on the East coast of the Melov Provence of Terriea, she is the "strange" one. She spends her days either in the training grounds, hunting or in the local blacksmith shop were she creates some of the finest weapons one will ever see.

After a shocking discovery Charlie is trust into a world that she had only heard about in the stories, Stephan, the local blacksmith had told her in her free time.

With the news of a new awakening the Academy of Melov sends its top students to find the new rider before forces of evil find them first.
