Avalon Baine has lived in District 12 her whole life with her mute Mother, law breaking Father, mysterious Grandma, crazy older Brother, and quiet little sister. Panem is not an easy place to live, especially in 12, where miners risk their lives, trying to feed their families, but famine isn't the only risk. Every year, one male, and female tribute are picked to represent their district in a fight to the death competition. This tradition is called The Hunger Games.
